NewsAttack choose path that promotes youth and developmentDate: Apr 09, 2009
On Wednesday evening at a specially convened Board of Govenors meeting, the Attack organization was presented with two extremely different models that the OJHL wished to pursue for the upcoming season. Over the course of the evening, many motions were passed that effectively split the league into 2 "Conferences". The 2 presentations described the playing guidelines the conferences would follow and at the end each team was asked to choose between the status Quo, or a path that resembles the playing guidelines of the now defunct Central Division. After consulting with other Durham region and GTA teams and some serious discussions amongst staff it was determined that the Younger Development model was the right path to take. At the end of the evening a total of 21 teams chose the younger model and 15 chose to remain staus quo. Stay tuned as more information becomes available. Back to news articles |
